Automated Breast Volume Scan ABVS Ultrasound

The Automated Breast Volume Scan, ABVS, is the latest technology for breast cancer detection in women with dense breast tissue. Mammography alone may not be fully effective in detecting cancerous tumors for women with dense breast tissue. On a mammogram, dense tissue looks white and can hide breast masses or tumors, which also appear white. Studies show adding ultrasound to mammography results in increased detection for those patients with dense breast tissue. Early detection finds cancer when it is most treatable.
